Alpine Construction Supplies Ltd. was incorporated in 1993 by its founder, and former owner Louis Ferron. The company was founded in Sudbury, Ontario then relocated to Ottawa in 1999.

Alpine's mission statement, "Our Strength Is Our Service" was introduced in 1999. Alpine prides itself on its service and every day we try to live up to our mission statement. Our staff pride themselves in a pro-active and professional approach to conducting all business.

In 2021 Alpine Construction Supplies Ltd. was acquired by Construction Distribution & Supply Co. Inc. (CDS) located in Vaughan, Ontario.
